The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dubuque is to provide

programs for Dubuque area youth promoting health and social,educational,

cultural,leadership and character developement with emphasis on areas with greatest potential impact, in an enviroment whick enables our members to become responsible,contributing citizens.

Our Agency Goals

The purpose of the Boys & Girls Club is health,educational,vocational and character development of youth. We are concerned with  all youth where

there is need,but are primarily concerned with youth in disadvantaged circumstances. This means not only economially disadvantaged, but socially, educationally, and physically disadvantaged as well. We are concerned with emotional behavior, attitude and guidance of youth through wholesome, constuctive activities in health, physical, social, vocational, and small group programs under professionally trained staff.

Our Principles

The Boys and Girls Club is guided by the following principles.

The Club:

is for boys and girls

offers a safe place

has full-time professional leadership

is supplemented by part-time youth workers and adult volunteers

assures all youth can afford to belong

is for boys and girls of all races,religions,and ethnic cultures

is non-secretarian

has an open door policy
